Rated 5 out of 5 by timpiker from Blowing rocks I live where there's a lot of snow and have a gravel driveway. Its common to get a lot of the rocks (some are as big as my fist, but most are small) out into the grass from all the bulldozing and blowing of snow over the winter. I just purchased my new BR 700 a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I just blew a lot of the rocks back into the driveway without any problems. I have over 700 feet of drive times 2 sides and it took maybe 1/2 a day. I also recommend using ear protection. I did for the 1st time ever and it made me feel better. The left shoulder strap, even though I had it tight, kept falling off my shoulder so I ordered and optional chest strap. The quality is what I expect. Too early to tell about dependability. Power is great. Value - considering its a Stihl, I know I paid top dollar but I don't regret it.

This is my 4th one.With only 2-3 tanks of gas through it so far I know it is still early in the assessment.This purchase was to upgrade from my 10 year old BR600 which was still running great.I was very conflicted in choosing between a 600 (more mph) or the 700 (more cfm).Hands down CFM has its merits. The snow is just starting to leave here and in its wake are packed wet oak leaves and twigs and heavy sand where the drive way meets the road.The 700 is quite impressive, it handled everything with results exceeding my old BR600.I was worried about the extra weight, but it isn't noticeable. The large tube moves much easier side to side and the adjustable length is a plus.I know my grass, leaves, dirt and snow cleanups will be faster than before.

But, I have 5+ acres and 2+ acres need lots of leaves removed. I just bought my BR 700 Stihl backpack blower two weeks ago and I have cut my work in half with my new blower! Seriously, what took me 2-days of blowing with the 320C only took 4-hours with my new BR 700. If you have lots of leaves like I do, it's definitely worth paying a little more for extra horsepower!
